"Zero Tolerance Policy – Safe Campus Environment."






In accordance with the directives of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India and the University Grants Commission (UGC) Regulations, Xavier University Patna maintains a strict Zero Tolerance Policy towards ragging. Ragging in any form is a criminal offense and is strictly prohibited both inside and outside the University premises. Our objective is to ensure a safe, supportive, and disciplined environment where every student can pursue their education with dignity and without fear.
The primary aim of the Anti-Ragging Committee is to prohibit, prevent, and eliminate the scourge of ragging. The Committee is dedicated to creating a "Ragging Free Campus" by establishing monitoring mechanisms and promoting a culture of mutual respect.
- Applicable to all students within the University campus.
- Extends to hostels, transport, and off-campus activities.
- Covers physical, mental, or verbal abuse.
- Mandatory anti-ragging affidavits from all students.
- To ensure compliance with UGC Regulations on curbing ragging.
- To monitor the campus and identify vulnerable areas.
- To sensitize students through workshops and campaigns.
- To provide an immediate grievance reporting mechanism.
- To conduct on-the-spot inquiries into reported incidents.
- To foster an environment of brotherhood among freshers and seniors.
- To keep administration informed of any suspicious activity.
- To ensure perpetrators face strict disciplinary action.
- Suspension from attending classes and academic privileges.
- Withholding results, scholarships, or fellowships.
- Debarring from representing the University in any event.
- Expulsion from the hostel and/or the University.
- Registration of an FIR with the local police.
- Rustication from the University (1 to 4 semesters).
- Cancellation of admission in extreme cases.
- Collective punishment when perpetrators are not identified.
