In order to provide a fair, transparent, accessible and time-bound mechanism for receiving and resolving grievances relating to University examinations, the Vice Chancellor is pleased to constitute the Examination Grievances Committee with effect from 31.08.2026.

Our Commitment

Provide a structured mechanism for submitting examination-related grievances.

Ensure grievances are considered fairly, objectively and impartially.

Facilitate resolution of genuine examination-related difficulties within the prescribed time.

Ensure grievances are handled according to University regulations and procedures.

Promote transparency and accountability in the University's examination system.

Matters Covered

  • Examination scheduling and conduct within University jurisdiction
  • Examination centre difficulties or procedural irregularities
  • Seating arrangements and examination facilities
  • Non-availability or inadequacy of approved facilities
  • Issues relating to registration or eligibility, where referred
  • Non-receipt or incorrect issue of documents
  • Discrepancies in marks, grades, credits or result status
  • Errors in records or result processing
  • Internal assessment / practical marks, where admissible
  • Examination-related administrative or procedural grievances
  • Any other grievance referred by the Controller of Examinations / authority

Functions of the Committee

  • Receive, register and acknowledge grievances.
  • Examine admissibility and collect relevant records.
  • Provide opportunity of representation, if required.
  • Seek clarifications from concerned authorities.
  • Dispose of grievances as per University rules.
  • Recommend corrective action for genuine errors.
  • Refer matters beyond jurisdiction to the competent authority.
  • Maintain records and monitor recurring issues.
  • Submit periodic reports to the Controller of Examinations.

Time limit for disposal from the date of receipt of all necessary documents and information.

The timeline may be extended with the approval of the competent authority in exceptional cases.

Confidentiality

  • All grievance-related proceedings and records shall be handled confidentially.
  • Information shall be disclosed only to authorised persons as required.
  • Records shall be maintained securely by the designated office.

Validity

The Examination Grievances Committee shall remain in force for the academic year 2026–2027.
