About the Cell
The Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC) of Xavier University Patna is committed to creating and sustaining an inclusive, equitable, and discrimination-free environment on campus. The Cell works to ensure that students, faculty, and staff from all backgrounds—irrespective of caste, creed, religion, gender, socio-economic status, or disability—enjoy equal opportunities in academic, co-curricular, and administrative spheres.
Objectives
- To promote diversity, equity, and inclusiveness across the University.
- To safeguard the rights of students and employees belonging to marginalized sections, including SC/ST/OBC, persons with disabilities (PwD), minorities, and economically weaker groups.
- To sensitize the campus community on issues of gender, disability, and social justice through workshops, seminars, and awareness programs.
- To facilitate guidance, counseling, and support services to ensure equal access to learning resources and infrastructure.
- To advise the University on policies and practices that strengthen social and academic inclusion.
