In order to ensure meticulous verification, complete academic integrity, precision, and fairness in the scrutiny and re-evaluation of University examination scripts and evaluations, the Vice Chancellor is pleased to constitute the Examination Scrutiny Committee with effect from 31.08.2026.
The Committee is authorized to thoroughly scrutinize evaluated answer booklets, verify totaling, examine unassessed questions, investigate discrepancies in record postings, and ensure strict compliance with the University Examination Regulations and Ordinances.
Composition of the Committee
Scope of Scrutiny
- Verification of mark postings from answer booklets to award lists and tabulation sheets.
- Inspection for any unmarked or unassessed answers/sub-questions by the evaluator.
- Re-totaling of marks across all question sections to eliminate arithmetic errors.
- Verification of roll numbers, course codes, and question paper code matching.
- Rectification of data entry anomalies prior to formal certification and final publishing.
Functions of the Committee
- Retrieve and maintain custody of evaluated answer booklets under scrutiny.
- Conduct independent verification in the presence of designated examination authorities.
- Formulate official discrepancy notes and recommend score rectifications.
- Ensure non-disclosure and strict confidentiality of student assessment records.
- Submit exhaustive scrutiny outcome reports to the Controller of Examinations.
Scrutiny Process

All proceedings are carried out with strict adherence to standard operating procedures to uphold absolute accuracy in examination evaluation.
Validity & Tenure
The Examination Scrutiny Committee shall remain in force for the academic year 2026–2027.
All physical booklets and digital tabulation records handled during scrutiny remain under the secure custody of the Office of the Controller of Examinations.
