Anti Ragging Committee

OBJECTIVES
The Anti-Ragging Committee at Xavier University Patna is dedicated to fostering a safe and respectful environment for all students. As a statutory committee of the university, our primary objectives are:
- Eradicating all forms of ragging within the university.
- Educating students about what constitutes ragging.
- Preventing incidents of ragging from occurring.
- Publicizing the measures taken to combat ragging.
- Implementing punitive actions, in accordance with UGC guidelines, against those found guilty of ragging after a thorough investigation.

Ragging is a major offence. Students indulging in ragging even in a “friendly” way or encouraging ragging will face immediate dismissal from the College. No justification in this regard is acceptable.
Ragging is a cognizable offence and those who indulge in it or encourage it will be handed over to the appropriate legal authorities as per: G O. Ed 122 URC-96 dated 16-01-1997
